West Cork Distillers began in 2003, formed by childhood friends, John O’Connell, Denis McCarthy and Ger McCarthy in a small fishing village in West Cork called Union Hall. Since then, West Cork Distillers has been recognised for our innovative approach and credited with maturing, distilling and bottling some of the finest craft Irish whiskey on the market today.

We make whiskey for everyone to enjoy. There’s a hundred and forty of us in West Cork Distillers who love a decent whiskey and work hard to make one for people just like us. We’ve done it the hard way. Before we even made whiskey, we made our own stills (ask us about the rocket). We’ve invented and patented our own distilling techniques. It’s been tough but wait til you taste the whiskey. We don’t go in for dressing it up, droning on about how it smells or who’s second cousin grew the barley. It’s good whiskey at a decent price.
